We are 40 minutes from Limoges, in the department of La Creuse, an area of rolling countryside filled with public paths and country lanes. There are numerous lakes 1 hour or less away offering fishing, boat trips and other water sports.
Other local attractions include Les Loups des Chabrieres (The Forest of Wolves) near Guèret, where deep in the forest wolves roam in large enclosures. There are many chateaux and museums to visit, and only a day trip away are the volcanic mountains near Clermont Ferrand which has a large visitors centre. Ten minutes away is Bourganeuf which has a large supermarket loacal shops, banks, tourist information, a cinema and a small golf course.
